Why do we WantARevolution?


Where is the Living God, the Holy Spirit, the amazing Jesus, the love, the compassion, the holiness? It is no secret that as Christ-followers we are mistrusted by a skeptical generation that has (for the most part) mentally and emotionally disengaged from Christianity.
What is the answer?

After many conversations with committed Christ-followers and those outside of the faith, I am coming to the conclusion that there is NOT a cut and dry, one size fits all answer to this question. However, I am convinced of this one thing:
We must elevate the relevance of Jesus to our culture.

The Revolution that we anticipate is not one that seeks to re-invent, re-think or even re-package Jesus. We simply desire to RE-PRESENT Jesus. The heart of a real Revolutionary is not to merely represent Jesus, but to Re-Present Him in such a way that the truth and reality of who He is permiates our lives and penetrates the world in which we live, socialize, grocery shop and hang out.


So, what's the plan?

1) Practice, Practice, Practice
It is high time we start living the life that we are inviting others to experience.

2) Embrace Individual Expression
Just as people do not interact with others in the same way, neither will Christ-follwers interact with or express their love towards God in the same way.

3) Develop Meaningful Relationships
Outsiders can smell a Christian coming from a mile away...we are well known for our stock phrases and cheesy smiles. People know when we have a genuine interest in their lives and when we are faking it.

4) Get With the Program (or lack thereof)
The days of cookie-cutter, pre-packaged, one-size fits all ministry are all but over. It's time to seek God and find out exactly what He would have you do.
